Pearl Harbor Day...

Today they have finally broken ground in Hawaii for a memorial to honor the USS Oklahoma and it's crew members who died from the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.

It has been 65 years since that tragic day...

"...a day that will live in infamy".

That very morning, on December 7, 1941, the Japanese ambassadors were kowtowing and smiling at our folks in Washington...

Talking like they were going to cut a deal.

A peaceful agreement.

All the while they knew what was fixing to transpire in Pearl Harbor.

It just seems to me that we just don't ever get any smarter...

No matter how many history classes we take...

No matter how many lessons we have to learn from.

It looks like to me that the same type of rhetoric is going on in the Middle East.

They're all smiling at us...

Talking about "peaceful" agreements.

Why can't we feel that knife that is in our backs?

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this one out.

By the way...

A town in Somalia has passed an edict that demands that you pray five times a day.

If you don't, you'll be beheaded.

But they've been kind enough to give the citizens a three-day notice:

Those who do not follow the prayer edict after three days have elapsed, "will definitely be beheaded according to Islamic law," Rage told The Associated Press by phone. "As Muslims we should practice Islam fully, not in part, and that is what our religion enjoins us to do."

Sounds like a peaceful little town to me...

With a really low crime rate I bet.

Ya know sometimes I think maybe the antichrist is going to be a muslim. Maybe the authors of the Left Behind Series got this part wrong. Just something to think about.

I don't think there is any way of telling what faith the anti christ will come from ...and I think God has done that on purpose, to keep us from trying to anihlate each other. Just my own thinking out loud.

You know ...there were a lot of things your post was meant to arrouse emotionally, TJ.

But.

For me, it arroused stark fear ...

I forgot my SIL's birthday yesterday. So did my husband (her brother)

My untreated, unstable, bipolar sister in law ... oh crimany.

You know, we've often used the history of Dec 7 and the smiling one moment bombing us the next to describe his sister. We just gave her reason.

It's been so nice knowing ya!

*gulp*

Hey Squirrel...

That's a thought. But it's my feeling that the anti-Christ will be so deceptive and appealing to the masses that he may be someone like the newly elected Muslim senator that we now have in the White House.

You do know he took his oath of office on the Koran, right?

Hey Peggikaye...

uhmmm... I'm not sure if ~diplomacy~ will work in your case or not.

But I understand your fear of the "nuclear fall-out" that can arise from those situations.

Maybe she'll be having a 'good day' today?

(Glad I'm not in your shoes!)
