The Muslim American Society wants to raise $100,000 for their PROJECT BFAIR
(Better Fair American Immigration Rules).
Maybe we should just shut immigration into the United States down completely.
Let everyone who doesn't like it here, or complains, leave/go home.
That way we can't be accused of being "unfair" to anyone.
Muslims in American Politics
The last decade of the twentieth century has witnessed a thriving, vibrant, and expanding Muslim community on the American civic horizon. The Muslim community in America, six million in number, is a replica of the more than one billion Muslims of the world. The community has at least three roles to perform on this continent. One is to function as a minority group seeking to protect its rights. Another is to represent the larger Muslim Ummah by struggling to help out Muslims around the world in difficult times. The third responsibility of Muslims and the Muslim Ummah in America is to bring the wisdom of Islam to promote social justice and political responsibility in America for all citizens, as well as to participate in ecumenical efforts to restore America’s spiritual underpinnings. The combination of these three roles has made the Muslim community a multiple agenda group instead of a single-agenda political-community.
The Muslim community in America possesses more financial, human, and high tech resources than any other Muslim community in the world. It is a fact that there are more professional Muslims in the United States than in any Muslim country. Interestingly enough and it may seem strange; the Muslims in America are also more active politically and Islamically than are Muslims in any other country. All these characteristics, plus being strategically placed in the belly of the sole super power of the world today, would give the Muslim community in America added effectiveness in its role as guardian for the future affairs of the Muslim World.

This week, we witnessed the power of the Islamic and Arabs Worlds to bring a Western nation virtually to its knees over an issue that the nation’s government had nothing to do with.
So now what!!
I want to know how this happened:
(CNN) -- Interpol has issued "an urgent global security alert" after 23 "dangerous individuals" -- including a man identified as the mastermind of the attack on the USS Cole in 2000 -- escaped from a Yemeni prison.
The international crime-fighting organization said Sunday at least 13 of the 23 who escaped Friday were "convicted al Qaeda terrorists, some of whom were involved in attacks on U.S. and French ships in 2000 and 2002."
"Al Qaeda terrorists have been deemed a serious threat to the entire world community by the U.N. Security Council, by Interpol and by a wide range of countries," Interpol Secretary General Ronald K. Noble said in the statement.
They escaped via a 140-meter (150-yard) -long tunnel "dug by the prisoners and co-conspirators outside," Interpol said.
"Their escape cannot be considered an internal problem for Yemen alone."
Among the escapees was Jamal Ahmed Badawi, considered the mastermind behind the attack on the USS Cole on October 12, 2000.
Badawi was sentenced to death in September 2004 for plotting the attack. Two suicide bombers blew up an explosives-laden boat next to the destroyer while the destroyer was in the Aden, Yemen, harbor for a routine fuel stop.
The attack killed 17 sailors and wounded 39 others.
Also among the escapees was Fawaz Yahya Al-Rabeei, one of those responsible for attacking the French tanker Limburg in 2002.
I support better and more advanced intelligence operations.

TJ, we're definitely on shaky groung.
Actually, I don't think that they need to add anything to what they've got, I think they just need to apply what they already have ... and use a bit of common sense while they do so.
Generally speaking, little white haired old ladies in wheelchairs with last names like "Jones" don't need to be strip searched at airports ... they're so afraid to be unjust by profiling, that they're being unjust to the innocent, and leaving us in danger from those who really are a threat.

Also - I'm all for sending those who complain about us home if they don't like it here. A little courtesy ... goes a long way.

But here, Moof, is where we, as Americans, have fallen short. No longer is America about Mom, apple pie, baseball, and little white steepled country churches.
A white-haired grandma Islamic convert will do the job just as willingly, and probably as easily, as any small child in the Middle East.
Americans have been lulled into a liberal and politically correct coma.
But one Islamic Internet site where al-Qaida has posted claims recently carried a chilling portrait of "the future al-Qaida soldier" — a secretly converted Muslim "born in Europe of European and Christian parents. They studied in your schools, they prayed in your churches" and now swear "to take up arms after their brothers."
Islam in the United States is not solely the province of immigrants from North Africa, the Middle East and South Asia. The largest and fastest-growing ethnic group of American Muslims is African Americans, whose estimated numbers range between 1.3 million and 2 million.

One of the more interesting aspects of the Islamic faith has been its continued ability to attract new adherents. Such a tradition is rooted in the history of the religion, and facilitated its rapid spread from Arabia to the far reaches of Africa, Asia, and Europe.
Here in the United States, converts to Islam represent a variety of ethnic and religious backgrounds, and account for close to one third of this nation's 3 million Muslims.
