Lost Hope...

There was a man who gave away his hope. He was like any other man. He lived a life as many men lived it.

Good things happened as well as bad; events that we call Life.

One day a doctor told the man that he was going to die. That it was going to be a long process. But that death would come at what most would consider a young age.

So the man prepared himself to die. He quit living his life and he gave away his hope for living life. And time passed.

The man did not use his legs, and his legs became weak. They would no longer support him. The man did not use his arms or his hands, and they became useless as well. Soon the man was in his bed, unable to move. And time passed.

There came a day when another doctor saw the man. He told the man that he was not dying. And that the man would probably live a long life.

And the man could not shout for joy, for he could not move.

And time passed.

Then one day the man realized that his hope had returned. And he saw that time had passed.

He had a vision, then began to plan. And he used his will to begin a new journey. A journey to regain what he had allowed time to take away.

Hope is the vision that we have for our lives; and with vision comes the will to live it.

Don’t ever give up hope.

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.
Proverbs 13:12

Hope is a beatiful thing... sometimes when that hope is unfullfilled it is a bit scary but we should never give up on it because there is always a chance... that if you work long enough and pray hard enough anything is possible isn't it;)

there are always going to be bad days now but good days later on ya know? Just give it time....

A wonderful reminder about what matters. When one gives up hope, one dies a slow death.

Thanks! *Sounds like* you are feeling much better now. You have a "grand day" too!

Hey Wolfbaby...

Yes... Anything is possible, especially with God.

Hey Pattie...

It is a reminder to all of us. It's hard for me to see and watch someone without hope.

May we always remember those who were lost and wounded, both in body and soul and spirit.

If only we understood as a country the scripture that says :
If my people will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and forgive their sins, and heal their land ...

If only we understood as a church ...
