Lightening in the West...

There are a line of thunderstorms heading our way tonight.

Rain.

A large amount of cloud to ground lightening.

65+ mph winds.

Hail.

Our 'newer' vehicle is in the garage...

And I have brought my American flag in.

Pattie over at Stolen Moments is in Europe right now.

She's left Switzerland and has made it to Italy.

Tuscany.

It sounds like her and her husband are having a wonderful time.

I think I'll pour myself a very nice glass of wine from an Oklahoma vineyard...

Watch the approaching lightening...

And call it a night.

I'm guessing by the wet ground I missed it, slept right through it. I knew I was tired, didn't know I was that tired.

Today is bright and sunny.

I thought it was supposed to rain all weekend.

Hope you are having a wonderful day!

Red - or - white? Whatever, hope it went down well. We are having freaky weather here, it's been very hot for several days in a row (not a usual occurrence in the UK!)

I'm glad you got some much needed rest Peggikaye. It's my understanding that thunderstorms are the main order for the rest of today and this evening. And, as is the nature of t-storms, it'll be a hit or miss situation as to who will, or will not, get rain.

I'm just really glad you and I both got some rain.

Hey Wolfbaby...

We had some high wind and really heavy rain here at my house. But other than that, it was good. I think there were a few areas that had power outages nearby, but our house didn't loose power.

Is it always cool in the UK Sue, or is it just being hot earlier in the season than usual? I have always had this idea of lots of rain over there, and fog. Lots of fog. Must be the Sherlock Holmes mise en scene` playing through my head.

Oh yeah...

It was white wine, and it was good.

Hi TJ

Actually it can get very hot here in the UK - well, hot for us. I think 23 degrees is predicted today (hot) and by Wed it could be down to 17 degrees. Usually we have a short run of good weather followed by a very long run of cooler weather. Our weather is so unpredictable. Fog? Don't see much fog where I live but those living by the coast probably get a bit more. It's funny how movies have a big influence on our thinking ....

You know, the weather out there in the midwest is scary! Have some wine for me...I am home now, and it is gray and dreary. I miss the blue skies!

Hey Sue...

So much for leaving all my cultural and geographical education up to movie directors!

Glad you're back safe and sound Pattie!
